At Hastings Little Wishes, we're powered by passion, community spirit, and a deep commitment to supporting children with serious illnesses and disabilities. Behind every wish granted and every event held is a team of dedicated individuals—each bringing their own unique strengths to help create joy, connection, and hope.

IRENE MISFUD - FOUNDER

Driven by love and compassion, Irene started Hastings Little Wishes with a simple goal: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of local children and families going through incredibly tough times. Her kindness, vision and community spirit remain at the heart of everything we do. Irene held the vital role of president from inception to Mid 2025, whilst stepping back from this role to focus on family, Irene continues to be involved in the delivery of joy!

Whether they’re helping run events, wrapping gifts, spreading awareness, or delivering wishes, our volunteers are the soul of HLW. We’re so grateful for their time, talents and generosity.

Our Board

PIP CULLEN - PRESIDENT

A passionate advocate for inclusion and wellbeing, Pip brings leadership, energy and a clear vision for growing HLW's impact. With a background in disability, as the an Occupational Therapist and the founder & CEO of All Together Therapy, she leads with heart and purpose.

MELISSA ZERAFA - SECRETARY

Mel is the glue that keeps us organised! From taking minutes to coordinating communications, her attention to detail and dedication ensure things run smoothly behind the scenes.

RACHEAL CULLEN - TREASURER

The numbers whiz of the team and all round organised teacher, Rachel ensures that every dollar is used wisely to support our mission. Her financial oversight helps us grow sustainably and transparently.

KARINA OSTLER - BOARD MEMBER

By day she wrangles high school students, but at Hastings Little Wishes she is the queen of organising and making sure things run smoothly.
