Community & Connection
Bringing Families Together.
Building a Stronger Community.
At Hastings Little Wishes, we know that raising a child with a disability or medical condition can feel isolating — but you’re not alone. One of our core goals is to bring families together, share knowledge, and create spaces where people feel supported, heard and connected.
Our Community Events
Throughout the year, we host a range of inclusive and family-friendly events, including:
Sensory-friendly play days
Inclusive Sporting days
Community fun days and fundraisers
Special seasonal celebrations
Awareness and advocacy events
These events are designed to be inclusive, accessible, and welcoming to all families.

Parent Education & Workshops
We offer practical and empowering workshops for parents and carers, covering topics like:
Understanding neurodiversity, developmental differences and disabilities and navigating systems
Understanding behaviour and emotions
Supporting sensory and communication needs
Building resilience and family wellbeing
Workshops are run in partnership with local professionals and are open to parents, carers and educators in our community.
Support & Connection Groups
Our parent and carer groups provide a relaxed, peer lead, judgment-free space to share experiences, ask questions and build lasting friendships. Whether you come every week or just once in a while, you’ll always be welcomed with open arms.
We aim to run groups regularly (weekly or fortnightly) throughout the year. Keep an eye on our socials or events page for dates.
